MFC at the State Capitol
Founded in 1839, the University of Missouri is the premier public research and land-grant university in the state and ranks among the best in the nation. Mizzou serves Missouri citizens and communities through its missions of teaching, research, service and economic development. Those missions are supported in every Missouri county through the educational efforts of University of Missouri Extension.
The University of Missouri Flagship Council, a private organization of alumni and friends working together to build and protect our historic flagship university, supports the following 2021 legislative policy positions and will partner with other organizations to advance the best interests of Mizzou.

From the time the General Assembly convenes in early January until the session officially ends in mid- May, we are represented by our lobbyist, who works with legislators on a daily basis, testifies in front of committees, and communicates about the work of the flagship university.
During the legislative session, members of the Flagship Council are invited to attend legislative breakfasts as well as other events that provide an opportunity to advocate on behalf of the university when they meet with their hometown representatives and senators.
The Flagship Council Political Action Committee makes donations, primarily during election years, to members of the General Assembly and candidates selected by the PAC Board of Directors.
